Celebrate Independence Day at the Wilderness!
Join us for a day filled with fun activities! As dusk falls, get ready for our spectacular annual fireworks show! The Wilderness display is the best in the Dells, and the best part? No traffic hassles—it’s right here at the resort! We launch fireworks near the Glacier Canyon Conference Center, so for the best views, grab a spot near Lost World Waterpark. You bring the “oohs” and “ahhs,” and we’ll bring the BOOMS!
Our fireworks show will begin at dusk on Friday, July 4th, 2025*

The Firecracker
One Week Only | June 30- July 6
This drink has truly become an annual July 4th favorite at the Wilderness.
“The Firecracker” is a Pina Colada layered with strawberry puree and topped with a float of blue curacao.
Ken-Ducky Derby Races
Daily, June 30- July 6 | Sign-up at 9:15 am w/Races beginning at 9:30 am | Free!
Join us in the Klondike Kavern Indoor Waterpark (just before the park opens) for your chance to be the day’s Ken-Ducky Derby Champion!
Cheer on your rubber ducky as it races with others in our lazy river! The grand champion each day receives a Ken-Ducky Derby Champion t-shirt!

Join our WildKids staff at the Wild Kids room below Take Flight (lower 1) all day for a number of activities!
Also, be on the lookout for our Wilderness Mascots Monty and Molly roaming through Take Flight, Camp Social, and the Wild Kids Room throughout the afternoon!

As the sun finally sets, it's time to light up the night! Our staff will be going around the Lost World Waterpark pool deck handing out free glow sticks (while supplies last) to help prepare for our annual fireworks show*!
